Madame Meriwether Hampton Warsaw

In the deep woods of Yellow Stone National Park lived a young black bear named Madame Meriwether Hampton Warsaw. She lived her days alone in a cave near the river. She came out once in a while to walk for berries or to hunt for fish, but she never went any further then that. One day, after she finished her morning berries, she decided that it was time to go beyond the river. She had her plan already thought out. She walked out of her cave and looked back. She wished it good-bye and was on her way. She trotted down to the river and said good-bye to the fish that she will never eat. Eventually she got to the campground for the people that come here. For her whole life she has tried to stay away from people, and now she was walking right on to their territory. It was night so most were sleeping but there were a few people who stayed quiet with eyes wide as the watched the black bear pass their camp. The woods ended and a road started. This was it. She took her first few steps. Suddenly a car flew past. She jumped back and almost tripped over a tree stump. She tried again and crossed the road. Next stop: anywhere but here.
