Hans Von Schopenhauer

Hans Von Schopenhauer is a proud rabbit. His father is a proud rabbit, and his father's father was a proud rabbit. Hans Von Schopenhauer comes from a long line of proud rabbits going all the way back to the Old Country. In Hans' case, the Old Country more specifically, is Hamburg Germany. There, the long, illustrious history of the Von Schopenhauer rabbits began, and here, in Pewaukee Wisconsin, a very lonely Hans Von Schopenhauer lives, bringing the fine name of Von Schopenhauer to Asa Clark School.

The Great, Great Great Great Grandfather of Hans, Otto Von Schopenhauer, distinguished himself in service of the royal Hapsburg family. Specifically living with Phillip II of Spain, Otto played an important role as the flag bearer an pipe cleaner aboard the flagship of the Spanish Armada.

After serving on several voyages, proving himself to be well sea-worthy, and generally good company for all the crew, Otto entered a period of semi-retirement taking residency at Phillip's castle.  There he turned his hand to fashioning a newly designed coat of arms for the Hapsburg family.Few knew of Otto's artistic skills until then.  From that point onward, people all over the Empire sought his advice in all matters pertaining to military and artistic decisions.

To this very day, Hans is fiercely proud of his ancestry, and from time to time, it causes others to feel he takes himself just a bit too seriously. Perhaps he could smile more often, laugh more often, and be silly more often. For now, these things don't come easy for Hans, so he goes along his day with a fairly dower expression.

If you are ever in room 214, you may come across a rabbit, and if that rabbit seems to take himself a bit too seriously, be patient. You may be in the presence of royalty.
